Data deletion instructions

Last updated:

You can delete the data Skedeon holds about you at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and how long it takes.

Option 1 — Disconnect in the app

  1. Sign in at app.skedeon.com.
  2. Open your list of connected accounts.
  3. Choose Disconnect next to each Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube account you want to remove.

Disconnecting immediately deletes the access token for that account, so Skedeon can no longer access or publish to it, and cancels its pending scheduled posts. The remaining data linked to that account (account ID, name, picture, captions, media and post history) is deleted within 30 days.

Option 2 — Ask us by e-mail

To delete your entire Skedeon account and all associated data, send an e-mail to privacy@skedeon.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, from the e-mail address of your Skedeon account. If you no longer have access to it, include the username of the Facebook Page, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube account you connected so we can find your data. We may ask you to confirm the request to protect your account.

We confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. When it is done we reply with a confirmation and a reference number for your request.

Option 3 — Remove Skedeon on the platform

You can also revoke Skedeon’s access directly on each platform: on Facebook in Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations; on Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions; on TikTok in Settings and privacy → Security & permissions. Revoking access stops Skedeon from using your account immediately. To also erase the data we already hold, use Option 1 or Option 2.

What is deleted

  • Access tokens for your connected accounts
  • IDs, names and profile pictures of your connected Pages and accounts
  • Uploaded media files, captions, hashtags and schedules
  • Post history and status records
  • Your Skedeon profile (name, e-mail address and preferences), when you delete your whole account

What may be kept

  • Records we must keep by law, such as invoices once paid plans exist, for the period the law requires
  • Encrypted backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days
  • Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you

Content that has already been published on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube lives on those platforms and is not removed by deleting your Skedeon data. You can delete it directly on each platform.
